Frequently Asked Questions

Localmarketplace offers two Options; Free listing and Paid listing.  The free listing is just like the phone books used to offer all business even if they didn't advertise with them.  The paid listing is one price for everything you need to promote your business.  The pricing is low enough for all businesses to pay in these tough times.

All businesses know they need to be on the Internet but don't know how to position their business to be found or don't have the funds to do it.  It that's you, then this is the site you'll love.

1. What is the cost of the free listing?

The answer is the listing is free.  Before the over saturation of Phone Yellow Books, businesses would get a free courtesy listing if they didn't advertise in the book.  We want to bring that back to our site.  If you aren't a paid customer, than if you are registered the free listing is yours "free"

 2. What happens after the free advertising trial.  Do I need to cancel or will I get a bill?

Good question.  Your account is automatically scheduled to be turned off in 30 days unless you choose to purchase the advertising package.  No need to cancel!  You will not be billed.  All we ask is that you take advantage of the package and list as many specials, coupons or ads as you wish!

3.  Why the free trial if I am not going to buy the advertising option.

We know that many businesses do not totally understand what this site offers.  The best way to sell the advertising service is to let you try it for youself.  After the trial,  you are better able to make an informed decision.   If you choose not to buy the advertising option than the account is converted to a free listing.  Maybe a later date you will want to try again.

4.  Why should I spend my ad dollars on your site?

The market is changing at a pace never seen before.  The Internet is now a major force in business marketing.  The local newspapers are going out of business because the news is too old.  More people go on line to read their news.  The Yellow Pages is over saturated and old news.  Printed material is pricing itself out of the marketplace.  Most businesses owners know the Internet is the future but have no idea how to present their company on it.  Yes, many have purchased a business web site but most customers can't find it.  Budgets are tight and funds are limited.

Welcome to localmarketplace.  Our site is intended to be the source where customers can find the most information about local businesses.  Modules are availabe to the businesses to present the information in different formats (web links, specials, coupons, ads, Hot Deals, Holiday Ideas, descriptions).  When businesses make any changes to their site they rotate to the top position in their catagory.  This allows customers to see the latest information first.

Customers love to shop.  This is the place where customers can compare current options.  Customers want to know what Local businesses are offering today.  You make the changes yourself.  No change for extra ads, specials, etc.  Let the net work for you.

5.  Why should I shop localmarketplace vs other web sites?

Most of our competitors will update your information once a year.  This site is intended to offer the consumer the most current information.  Businesses are give every tool necessary to stay current and inform the customer of current deals and new products.  No one has more informantion available to customers to make a more informed decision

6.  How do I get started listing my business.

You'll need to go to "free registration" and register.  Then go back to your email and confirm your email and set up a password.  A customer service person will contact you to help upload your information and create your own Specials
